Dan, the owner of Wapiti, started attending Riverwood Church in Waverly, IA when he moved there in the fall of 2020. Once his family had integrated into the church, he decided it was time to help out with the web presence of the church. After talking to Erin Bird, the pastor of Riverwood Church, he realized that the church was unhappy with its current website. He also learned that the various services used by the church didn't fully integrate and created a lot of extra work each week for volunteers.

To solve these issues, Dan immediately volunteered to take the existing site and take over all day-to-day edits on that site. Wapiti moved the site to our servers and streamlined it to run quickly and efficiently. We then began to work on a brand new site designed to Erin's specifications and with growth in mind. This website was custom developed on WordPress to add advanced functionality not found in most church sites you would come across. We also integrated MailPoet for outreach and set up the church podcast on our platform. Both of these saved close to 50% of the volunteer work time which made a volunteer's job much, much easier.
